Basic concepts of FlexShare
Concepts:
In NetApp FAS solution, the feature of FlexShare is something like QoS in the network traffic.
In senerios, there might be various applications which use the same storage. The importance of these applications could be different. So, for prioritizing and differing these storage I/O requese, FlexCache was announced.
Commands:
priority # display priority command options.
priority on # enable the FlexShare feature.
priority off # disable the FlexShare feature.
priority show # display the FlexShare status.
priority set volume vol1 level=High # set the priority of “vol1” to high
priority show volume vol1 # display the FlexShare setting of the volume “vol1”.
