Issues when implementing Snapmirror technology
node2> snapmirror initialize -S node1:vol1 node2:vol1
Thu May 20 14:27:27 CST [replication.dst.err:error]: SnapMirror: destination transfer from node1:vol1 to vol1 : destination volume too small; it must be equal to or larger than the source volume.
Transfer aborted: destination volume too small; it must be equal to or larger than the source volume.
Fri May 21 15:06:00 CST [replication.src.err:error]: SnapMirror: source transfer from vol2 to node1:vol3 : request denied, previous request still processing.
Fri May 21 15:06:00 CST [replication.dst.err:error]: SnapMirror: destination transfer from node1:vol2 to vol3 : transfer from source not possible; snapmirror may be misconfigured, the source volume may be busy or unavailable.
Terminate a snapmirror relationship
- Delete the snapmirror relationship in /etc/snapmirror.conf by using wrfile command to edit.
- Use snapmirror break {dst_vol_name} command to break the snapmirror on the destination storage.
- Use snap delete {dst_vol_name} {snapshot_name} to delete all of the snapshots created by snapmirror on the destination storages.
- Use snapmirror release {src_vol_name} {dst_filer}:{dst_vol_name} to release the destination snapmirror relation.
- snapmirror status to confirm.
It must be considered that, the termination might not be confirmed via snapmirror status command if there’re existing snapshots taken from the snapmirror relationship.

Vvol2 is going to be the destination volume for source volume, Vvoll,
on the other Controller. Create a new volume named Vvol2 on your
storage appliance.
fas02> vol create Vvol2 aggrl SOm
Issue the conunand to set the security style to ntfs.
